The annual Bite of the Apprentice is WSCA's signature culinary competition and fundraiser. Competitors present one to two-bite hors d'oeuvres in an action-station style service. Attendees vote for People's Choice while professional judges award Judges' Choice and Best High School categories. Join us from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM for an evening of culinary excellence.

The evening begins with a board meeting at 4:00 PM, followed by the awards dinner from approximately 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. This event celebrates outstanding achievements in the culinary community. The 2nd Annual Mystery Box Tofu Competition returns to Renton Technical College! The day begins with a board meeting at 9:00 AM, followed by a tofu seminar at 10:00 AM. The competition kicks off at 11:30 AM with judging for best plate at 1:00 PM. Come watch teams create incredible dishes from mystery ingredients featuring tofu.

The Best Bite of Duck competition returns for 2027 at Renton Technical College! The day starts with a board meeting at 4:00 PM. Judging begins at 5:30 PM, and the event opens to the general public from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. Come taste incredible duck preparations from Washington's top chefs.
