The competition was sponsored by the WSCA and hosted by Olympic Community College in Bremerton, WA.
The four-hour, timed competition required the teams to create a four-course meal for four people on site. Teams were judged on sanitation, knife skills, organization and preparation.
South Seattle Community College Culinary Arts Students edged out Renton Tech by less then a point.
The winning team, awarded the rank of Silver Medal, was led by Instructor-Chef Stephen Sparks, CEC, CCE and the team members included Sarah Keeffee (team captain), Brendan Calnan, Jeffrey Aquino, Tasha Parker and Steve Cheng (alternate).
