Best Turkey Sandwich Ever Contest - Nov 2007 The Apprenticeship Class at South Seattle Community College with Instructor Chef Christopher Harris held “The Best Turkey Sandwich – Ever” contest in November 2007. WESTERN REGIONAL CON. 2007 - CONGRATS!: Congratulations are in order for the winners of the Baron H. Galand Culinary Knowledge Bowl, Skagit Valley College, Culinary Arts, at the recent Western ACF Regional conference in Coeur D’Alene Idaho. The Students made us very proud representing the Washington State Chefs Association. Congratulations! Renton Tech also competed in the knowledge bowl representing our association and Renton student Kailee Eck, our chosen Jr. Culinarian, lost her competition by only 0.78 of a point! South Seattle Community Colleges' culinary team competed in the hot food competition and earned a Silver medal! Good job SSCC! Details... ACF COMPETITION: An ACF competition will be held at Renton Technical college on Saturday, July 28, 2008 for students and professionals of the WSCA. Categories K, A and P1, 2 and 3 cookies and petite Fours. Start time is to be determined. Registration will be $50.00 to cover expenses.
